One Summit's return to San Diego did not disappoint. Thanks to the generosity of our partner, Axos Bank, fifty of our little warriors, mentors, and their families attended an impressive San Diego Seals Lacrosse game at the Pechanga Arena in February. Hosted in the hospitality "PIT" against the glass, the excitement on the field was epic as we cheered on the team and each other.

Having been apart since the start of the pandemic, our first trip to the West Coast since 2020 was worth the wait. It's incredible how quickly the kids have grown and the resilience they have demonstrated since we were last together. Although we've maintained a relationship, there is nothing like being face to face, sharing a hug, and hearing their stories. Seeing our families re-connect with their mentors and each other embodied the community-building aspect of our mission. Growth is facilitated through stronger relationships, which was on full display that evening.

Axos Bank is One Summit's most consistent and sustaining supporter allowing our organization to remain stable and thrive during the pandemic and beyond. We are honored by their confidence in our mission and community. Through their generosity, we are on track to return for a San Diego Climb for Courage for Fall 2022. With a new crop of US Navy SEALs and families, the opportunity for our warriors to meet, climb, conquer their goals, and develop lasting relationships awaits.
